  • Jack II is drawn from a family photograph of the iconic actor Jack Nicholson playing in a swimming pool. Fowler says: “I chose this image as I thought it captures Nicholson in all his uncouth, ‘Neanderthal’ glory — playful, powerful and potentially dangerous.” The gloss black paper represents the water from which he has just emerged and brings sharp focus to his instantly recognizable features. The paper has been hung from eyelets whilst the bottom of the paper has been curled away from the wall to provide a platform for the figure.
