Especially for the exhibition, Fowler created a major new drawing ‘montage’. This is the third large- scale drawing montage of this nature, with the first two having been acquired by public institutions in Switzerland and the USA. The ‘montaged’ aspect is created from images collected by the artist over the last four years, which remain on her studio wall or are recalled from memory and are gradually merged together to form the large-scale work.
